Sijuola Olanubi

Co-Founder and Director

Mr. Sijuola Olanubi is an economist, policy strategist, and institutional development expert with extensive experience in public policy, systems architecture, economic reform, and think-tank operations. He currently serves as the Co-founder and Director of Strategy at the Kingsgate Advisors Institute, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on policy transformation, systems architecture, youth development, and capacity building across Africa, particularly within fragile and conflict-affected states. He is also the Lead Faculty of the Kingsgate Young Scholars Academy, where he mentors emerging scholars and supports the development of the next generation of policy leaders.

In addition, Mr Olanubi once served as the Acting Head of Think-Tank Operations at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), where he led major policy advocacy, research, and institutional reform initiatives, including the development of transition policy frameworks, change management of reform platforms, and youth-led policy engagement structures in Nigeria. His work has contributed to strengthening evidence-based policymaking and public-private dialogue in Nigeria.

He holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the Open University of Tanzania, a MicroMasters in Data, Economics and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in collaboration with J-PAL, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
