Peter Offum is an economist with expertise in macroeconomic research and policy analysis, focusing on fiscal policy. His career spans academia and central banking with stints both at the University of Calabar and the Central Bank of Nigeria. This unique career experience allows him to bridge academic and policy research. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Calabar. His growing body of research publications addresses critical macroeconomic and policy issues, including fiscal policy, monetary policy, financial markets, and economic uncertainties.
As a Fellow within the Economic Policy and Analysis Cluster at Kingsgate Advisors Institute, Mr Offum undertakes the analysis of macroeconomic developments and policies in Nigeria and with a focus on fiscal policy analysis.
