Dr. Queen Esther Oye has over a decade of experience in academia, policy analysis, and capacity development. Her expertise lies in the intersection of macroeconomic policy, political economy and governance. She is currently a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Economics and Development Studies at Covenant University, Nigeria. Her previous engagement includes serving as a 2023/2024 Research Fellow at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), where she conducted macroeconomic research on climate change and economic policy. She was also a Bridge Fellow at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, with extensive experience in macroeconomic modelling.
Dr Queen Esther Oye holds a PhD in Economics from Covenant University, Nigeria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in top academic journals and presented at high-profile conferences such as the CSAE conference and the Africa Meeting of Econometric Society.
As a senior research fellow within the Macroeconomic Modeling and Analysis research cluster at Kingsgate Advisors Institute, Dr. Oye will focus on topics that quantitatively analyse the sources, effects and policy options to address macroeconomic instability in Nigeria.
