Dr. Amara Anyanwu is a Senior Analyst at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. He previously worked at the New Zealand Treasury and has also served as a consultant with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP).
He holds a PhD in Economics from Lincoln University, New Zealand, a Master of Science in International and Development Economics from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from the University of New South Wales, Australia. His publications include Policy Quarterly, Resources Policy, International Journal of Development Issues, and Journal of Economic Research.
As a Senior Fellow in the Economic Policy and Analysis Cluster at Kingsgate Advisors Institute, he conducts policy-relevant research on macroeconomic policy, financial markets, competition, and structural reforms.
